Today will be devoted to exploring the multi-cultural spots of Tokyo. We will first stop by the old town district of Asakusa – shop around the Nakamise Shopping area and pray at the Sensoji Temple. Next we will delve in Edo Tokyo Museum where you can get acquainted with the history of Tokyo. After lunch, we will visit the Tsukiji Outer Market. The tour will also stop by the famous Meiji Shrine located in Shibuya. In the evening, we will probe the Tokyo Tower, a symbol of Japan’s post-war rebirth as a major economic power before we return to the hotel. Returning to our hotel, we will be passing by the famous Shibuya Crosswalk.

We will then continue our Japan journey to Hakone. There, we will stop at Owakudani Valley, where they serve eggs said to add years to your life. Then, A relaxing cruise on Lake Ashi, where you can also get some stunning shots of Mt. Fuji. Before heading to the Mt. Fuji visitor’s center, enjoy a ride on the Hakone Ropeway.

We will first head to the Golden Pavilion, or Kinkakuji Temple, a Japan’s must see attraction where the two upper floors are covered in gold leaf. The reflection of the golden temple on the lake adds to the stunning sight. Our next stop is the Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of red torii gates that lead to the sacred Mt. Inari. Fushimi Inari Shrine is often rated Japan’s No.1 destination by tourists and produces gorgeous pictures. We then proceed to Nara to Todaiji Temple. Todaiji Temple holds the World Guinness Record as the largest wooden building. Inside the temple, you will behold the largest Buddha statue in Japan. Just outside the temple is the Nara Deer Park, where you will be greeted by numerous deer that roam around freely. The deer here at the park are known to be friendly and may even bow at you for a little treat. Before ending our day, we will spend some time at the Gion-Geisha District. This is the perfect chance to see a traditional Geisha walking down the streets of Kyoto in stunning Kimonos.

Today you have the option to 1) take photos in Kimonos at Kiyomizu Temple and Sannenzanka, 2)Spend time at Toei Uzumasa Movie Land and take a ride on a Rickshaw, 3) Enjoy a Meiko dinner, explore the Gion corner, and enjoy a Miya-odori dance, 4) take a private guided tour in Kyoto, or 5) Enjoy the day at your leisure.
